About Us

Sri Purandaradasa Vishvagurukula, under the Meera Center for Music Therapy, Education & Research was established to blend the rich traditions of Carnatic music with therapeutic healing.

Founded by Dr. Meenakshi Ravi and Dr. N.G. Ravi, renowned music therapists and social consultants, the initiative serves as an online global university affiliated with The Light of Self Foundation.

Since 2000, we have been at the forefront of music therapy, offering specialized programs to enhance mental and emotional well-being.

I have been learning music from Meenakshi Madam when I was 12 years old, for close to 10+ years and she has been a wonderful teacher I must say. The amount of exposure that I received in terms of concerts, seminars and directly learning from her have been really helpful in appreciating several aspects of music .
